This post is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) for the profession of a service to clients in England & Wales experiencing Energy Debt. The Consumer Energy Debt Advice (CEDA) service will be a remote debt advice service for clients who present with at least one form of energy debt. It is intended to reduce the impact of personal debt by providing debt solutions to clients.
Job Responsibility:
Support telephone debt caseworkers to deliver a high quality service
Empower clients with advice and information to improve their financial situation
Directly negotiate with creditors
Put our aims and principles into practice
Requirements:
Passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need
Ability to engage skilfully with clients who are vulnerable and distressed
Proven skills at working in a busy environment
Highly motivated strong team player
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to understand written and oral information of some complexity
Good numeracy skills sufficient to compile accurate financial statements and calculate benefits
Effective oral and written communication skills for the purposes of negotiation and reporting
