The Discovery Consumable Sales Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for managing and expanding the Discovery consumables portfolio across all customer segments within the UK South territory, driving commercial growth and ensuring strong customer engagement. This role plays a critical part in accelerating revenue, strengthening market presence, and supporting customers in achieving successful outcomes using Cytiva’ s consumables solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Achieve sales targets and drive customer satisfaction across the region by developing deep product expertise and building strong, long‑term customer relationships
Generate end‑user demand through proactive field engagement, collaborating closely with distributor partners to promote and grow Cytiva’s consumables portfolio
Drive solution‑based selling by integrating consumables into customer workflows and identifying leads for complementary Cytiva instruments
Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration by partnering with Account Managers, Instrument Sales Specialists, Product Managers, and other internal stakeholders to support growth across the full Cytiva portfolio
Assess and strengthen distributor performance, leading business reviews, delivering training, and implementing action plans to maximize sales
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) or equivalent industry experience
Experienced in scientific sales, preferably selling consumables or workflow‑based solutions within the life sciences market
Demonstrated experience working with distributor networks or channel partners in a commercial sales environment
Proficiency with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.com, for managing pipelines, opportunities, and customer data
Strong understanding of research laboratory workflows and familiarity with commonly used consumables and instruments in academic, applied market, biotech and pharma labs
Ability to travel up to 60–70% within the assigned UK South territory, including occasional overnight travel as required
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and comfortable travelling frequently by car
