Job Description:

Consulting Systems Engineer role at HPE Networking that enables HPE to sell and support sophisticated networking and security solutions. This role focuses on addressing customer segments with combined HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper Networking solutions in an evolving industry with technologies such as Multi-Cloud, Cybersecurity, Automation, IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and 5G.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide pre-sales technical consultation in the design, engineering, sale, and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions
  • Working in partnership with sales teams, strategic and industry partners in assessing the potential application of our products ensuring that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers
  • Respond to customer's proposals (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and create viable proposals that grow Juniper's business
  • Develop and consult on architecture designs, engineering bill of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions
  • Engage and influence customer technology strategies through showcasing Juniper technologies during technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and trial engagements
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partner community
  • Deliver training and support to our industry partners and customer engineers
  • Continuously learn and stay ahead of the industry and competitive solutions, products, and services

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 9 years' experience in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales or Systems Engineer
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and or related field or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in designing/engineering/consulting on LAN/WAN, Campus, Data Center, Security, and Cloud technology solutions
  • Extensive experience in implementing and operating small-mid-large-scale Campus and branch networks utilizing enterprise Networking and Security solutions
  • Extensive experience and depth of knowledge around the Juniper product line, key competitors' products, solutions, and vertical market use cases
  • Long-established experience and hands-on expertise with networking industry technologies across routing, switching, and security technology domains from a pre-sale, operational or engineering point of view
  • Solid interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with extensive experience in customer-facing sales activities and Exec/C-level engagements
  • Recognized technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new protocols and applications
  • Deep understanding of Routing Protocols (IGPs, EGPs, Layer-2/3 VPN's)
  • Extensive experience of datacenter network design (EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, underlay fabric)
  • Extensive experience of MPLS and WAN network design (LDP, RSVP, SR-TE, SRv6 etc.)
  • Experience of network security (NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM)
  • Experience with management solutions such as Paragon, MIST, Apstra or equivalent competitive products
  • Hands-on experience with either Juniper or other vendors solutions

Nice to have:

  • Experience of emerging technology areas including Virtualization, VMWare, OpenStack, VNF, and Container solutions
  • DevOps experience in automation using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, Netconf and Ansible
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure
  • JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, etc. or other industry certification
  • Positive attitude, a desire to learn new technologies, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a very challenging environment
