Job Description

They are seeking an experienced and nearly or recently qualified actuary to join their Property & Casualty (“P&C”) practice in the UK.

Job Responsibility

  • To manage or assist in the technical aspects of specific P&C client assignments, within agreed budgets and timeframes, while meeting all appropriate legislative, regulatory, business and professional standards and requirements
  • To build and maintain strong relationships, both externally with clients and market contacts, and internally with colleagues
  • To develop and maintain a high standard of knowledge and understanding of P&C actuarial work
  • To attend and present at client meetings, including those involving marketing or sales proposals

Requirements

  • Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) or expecting to qualify in the next 1-2 years
  • Nearly qualified or post qualified actuary with strong UK P&C reserving experience in either Lloyd’s/other London Market or personal/commercial lines
  • Sound knowledge of the UK P&C insurance market
  • Relevant P&C company or consultancy background
  • Excellent practical experience in P&C reserving work, with growing expertise and an interest in developing knowledge in a specific areas of the market
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on budget and to required timescales
