Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional skilled in software engineering, cloud technologies, and DevOps to join as a Consultant Specialist. The role involves working within Asia Technology business, taking ownership of technical design and production incidents, and supporting automation efforts. Candidates are expected to possess significant experience in software design, development, and testing, along with strong expertise in cloud and data engineering solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in technical design of features with guidance
Take ownership and accountability for production incidents, in terms of timely communication, escalation and incident hygiene
Test software using various methods and tools
Support the establishment of a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
Support the creation of technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
Support quality assurance automation ensuring that the test strategy also takes into account the test data, environments and non-functional testing relevant for Products/Services
Support service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
Identify potential system improvements and explain their benefits
Keep up-to-date and have an understanding of the specific impact of the functional delivery, the business context of change and how a delivery may impact other functional areas
Lead production incident reviews for the team

Requirements:

Candidate should hold a university graduate certificate majored in IT or equivalent experience
A minimum 3 years of significant working experience in software requirement, design, development, testing and support
Experience on Cloud technologies, includes but not limited on Docker, Kubernetes
Project experiences on Google Cloud Platform is a plus
Deep understanding on the Cloud Infrastructure Architecture which includes Network, OS, permission control etc.
Strong experiences in Python/Java/Shell development
Full stack data engineer is preferred
Strong experience on design and implement DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipleline with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc.
Familiar with open source stacks like Airflow, Spark, Flink, Apache Beam, Kafka..etc
Experiences in Hadoop ecosystem, deep understanding on the Big Data Architecture is a plus
Good command in spoken and written English as working language
Work closely with both local and global teams on the project delivery with agile/DevOps manners
A good team player with strong analytical/troubleshooting skills, and self-motivated

Nice to have:

Project experiences on Google Cloud Platform is a plus
Experiences in Hadoop ecosystem, deep understanding on the Big Data Architecture is a plus
