Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. The position involves working across the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, operational support, and automation, while ensuring service resilience and excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities
End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction
Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change, ensuring domain knowledge
Work with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change
Provide support in identification and resolution of incidents associated with the IT service
Ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met for all software solutions delivered
Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline driving a culture of continuous improvement
Maintain expertise on current tools, technologies, and areas like cybersecurity and regulations pertaining to data privacy, consent, and data residency.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required
5 years of relevant work experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development
Strong proficiency in BigData skill set, including programming languages such as Scala, Python and frameworks like Spark
Proficiency in database management and design, including SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
Understanding of DevOps principles, including version control systems (e.g., Git), cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
Ability to analyze complex problems, design scalable solutions, and implement them effectively
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Thorough understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices
Knowledge of best practices for software development, code documentation, and testing
Strong desire for continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies and frameworks.
