Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join the IWPB Technology team as a Consultant Specialist. The role involves developing modern web applications using React and Node.js, ensuring high performance and scalability. The position offers a hybrid working style and emphasizes collaboration in an agile team environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate as a member of an agile scrum team, responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of modern web applications using React, Node.js, and related technologies
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Develop reusable and scalable front-end components, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and industry trends, and participate in research and proof-of-concept activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation to support development and operations teams
  • Support automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Solid hands-on experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience with Node.js and integrating front-end with backend APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins)
  • Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern front-end build tools
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience working in agile development teams
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • experience working in multicultural teams is a plus
  • Fast learner, adaptable to new technologies, and willing to take on new challenges
