Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of CONSULTANT SPECIALIST. Business: CTO Data Technology

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand
  • End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
  • Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
  • Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
  • Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
  • Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change
  • Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
  • Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development. This includes experience in both front-end and back-end technologies
  • Full Stack Development: Strong proficiency in BigData skill set is essential. This includes knowledge of programming languages such as Scala, Pythob. Familiarity with different frameworks and libraries (e.g Spark) is also important
  • Database Knowledge: Proficiency in database management and design, including SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of data modeling and query optimization is also beneficial
  • DevOps Skills: Understanding of DevOps principles, including experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes is highly desirable
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, design scalable solutions, and implement them effectively. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are crucial for identifying and resolving issues
  • Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for working in a team environment. A senior full stack engineer should be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong Coding and Software Development Principles: Thorough understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices. Knowledge of best practices for software development, code documentation, and testing is crucial
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Given the fast-paced nature of technology, a senior full stack engineer should have a strong desire for continuous learning and be adaptable to new technologies and frameworks as they emerge.
