Job Description:

The role is responsible for working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release, and ongoing management of a product or service. Responsibilities include continuously enhancing skills, providing support for end-to-end delivery, ensuring service resilience, and automating pipelines while keeping up-to-date with modern tools and technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release, and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a Technology team
Enhancing skills within specialisms including front end, development, security, testing, and operational support
Providing support across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including software development, testing, and operational support activities
End-to-end accountability for a product or service
Liaising with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
Establishing a digital environment and automating processes
Creating technical test plans and records in automated test environments
Supporting DevOps teams across all stages of a product or service release/change
Identifying and addressing operational issues
Ensuring service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met
Automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline
Keeping up-to-date on tools, technologies, and regulations.

Requirements:

Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit
A change driver and fast learner
A university graduate
Graduates from an international top university highly preferred, MS or PhD preferred
Full stack software engineering capability including front-end, middleware, backend is a must
Hands-on engineering capabilities in state-of-the-art technologies is a must
Proven contribution to international academic and industrial communities and/or open source communities will be a huge advantage
Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wholesale and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, financial markets, etc.) is preferred
Capability of reading newest academic and research papers in the areas of banking, financial services and technologies is a must
Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Strong communication skill in both verbal and written form
capability of delivering effective presentation to teammates and external and internal stakeholders

Flexible and adaptable in accommodating change of requirement and willing to take new responsibilities when necessary
Be able to work across multiple domains of knowledge and skills, and share knowledge across the team
Knowledge of architecture disciplines and the ability to put the governance into practice
Knowledge of industry standards will be an advantage.
