Job Description:

Consultant Specialist role in IWPB Technology supporting existing APIs on AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in agile development processes to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Support existing API on AWS and handle deployment/release for production issue fixes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production queries or incidents
Develop and apply program fixes for application defects
Understand functional and non-functional requirements through interactions with Business Analysts and SMEs
Provide accurate estimates and status to management
Ensure high quality development measured by defect counts
Provide on-call support during off business hours and weekend/holiday support
Participate as scrum team member
Manage squad teams of developers
Work with Scrum master to prioritize product backlog items
Attend standup and agile ceremonies
Work with architecture team to deliver compliant solutions
Participate in system integration activities
Design and develop automated test cases
Assist in transitioning system to microservices architecture

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years' IT software development experience in Java 8 or above, Spring, Restful Services, Spring Boot and micro-service based architectures
Experience with HTTP/RESTful APIs and JavaScript frameworks (ES5, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Angular, Redux, Nodejs, npm, webpack, Ajax)
Experience with Hibernate and Mybatis for database persistent layer
Experience in BDD, Continuous Integration, Selenium, continuous deployment and testing
Good understanding of RDBMS & NoSQL databases (Oracle, DB2, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis)
Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven)
Understanding of messaging services (IBM MQ, Kafka)
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
Proficient in Java development on JDK 11 above
Experienced in high concurrency programming, multiple threads and JVM performance tuning
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English

Nice to have:

Knowledge on Investment Products, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management
Technical knowledge in Cyber Security
Knowledge of industry standard architecture frameworks
