Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join a well-established, innovative, and expanding Older Persons’ Services team in the South West of England. The department is committed to providing outstanding care to older patients, with a strong focus on multidisciplinary working, acute frailty services, and rehabilitation pathways.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the care of older patients within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team
  • Providing evidence-based inpatient and outpatient care, including comprehensive geriatric assessments
  • Contributing to the development of frailty pathways and innovative models of care
  • Supervising and training junior doctors, medical students, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Participating in audit, clinical governance, and service improvement initiatives
  • Opportunity to develop subspecialty interests aligned with department needs

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent
