Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Dermatologist to join our well-established clients team. This full-time position involves providing dermatological care for patients in Cornwall and progressing a sub-specialty interest to complement the team. The role includes seeing two-week wait patients and maintaining the highest clinical standards in dermatology management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Day-to-day management of the Dermatology Department
  • Teaching and training junior staff and medical students
  • Active participation in continuing medical education (CME)
  • Participation in Clinical Governance and Audit
  • Attendance at relevant meetings
  • Fulfillment of weekly timetable including out-of-hours responsibilities
  • Implementation of sustainable practices to achieve NHS Net Zero target
  • Providing dermatological care for patients in Cornwall
  • Progressing a sub-specialty interest to complement the team
  • Seeing two-week wait patients
  • Maintaining the highest clinical standards in dermatology management

Requirements:

  • GMC Registration with a license to Practice
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification
  • Wide experience in all aspects of Dermatology
  • Experience in teaching, clinical audit, and governance
  • Strong clinical and personal credibility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT skills
  • Conceptual and analytical skills
  • Fluent English (IELTS level 7.5)
  • Flexible, adaptable, collaborative, attention to detail
  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check
  • Occupational Health clearance
  • Three satisfactory references
  • Ability to travel within and outside the county
