Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to apply for this full-time replacement Consultant Cardiologist post (General Cardiology, Echocardiography and ACHD) based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). The postholder will be joining a team of eleven Cardiologists.

Job Responsibility:

  • Commitment to General Adult Cardiology Receiving (currently a 1:11 basis) including weekend ward rounds
  • commitment of three out-patient clinics per week, including general Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease clinics
  • provide a weekly Transoesophageal Echocardiography list
  • provide imaging expertise to the general MDT and TAVI MDT

Requirements:

  • Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC required
  • licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post
  • evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview
  • or possess a CESR / CESR (CP)
