Are you an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment? Join our dedicated team at the Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services to NHS patients.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy
  • Ensure compliance with British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidelines and best practices
  • Collect and submit Global Rating Scale (GRS) and patient outcome data
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development
  • Provide expert clinical opinions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Support the validation of discharge information and pathology results
  • Contribute to the analysis of incidents and complaints to maintain high standards of patient care

Requirements

  • GMC Specialist Register entry for General Surgery
  • Significant experience in upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinions and lead a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical governance

Nice to have

  • Experience in clinical audit and applying findings to practice
