Within the framework of the digital transformation of the cultural sector, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine is implementing electronic registers and digital services that provide access for citizens and business entities to public services. The Diya.Engine platform, developed with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, serves as a core technological solution for the creation and operation of such registers. The functioning of state registers in the cultural sector requires modern, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces that ensure usability, efficient request processing, and integration with other government systems. In this context, front-end development is critically important for ensuring the quality and accessibility of electronic public services.
Job Responsibility
Development, maintenance, and UI/UX optimization of user interfaces, web forms, and public dashboards for core state registers of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine on the Diya.Engine platform
Implementation of forms, user dashboards, and administrative panels
Ensuring compliance with UI/UX requirements for public digital services
Integration of front-end components with backend services and databases
Ensuring proper data display and processing
Working with APIs of state systems and registers
Optimization of web application performance
Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness (mobile-first approach)
Testing, debugging, and maintenance of front-end modules
Collaboration with DevOps engineers and technical administrators
Participation in releases, updates, and technical support of the system
Improvement of interfaces based on user feedback
Participation in the design and front-end implementation of user interfaces for cultural heritage, digital archives, and electronic registers
Collaboration with data curators and archivists to ensure accurate data visualization, semantic rendering of historical/public records, and high web accessibility (WCAG)
Requirements
Higher education in Information Technology, Digital Humanities, History, Archival Science, or related fields with proven practical experience in web development
At least 1-2 years of practical experience in front-end development or digital transformation projects
Experience in civic tech, GovTech, or digital preservation projects will be a significant asset
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and understanding of responsive web design
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks is an advantage
Experience working with REST APIs and integrations
Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
Experience in testing and performance optimization of web applications
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Proven experience in processing digital records, working with state archives, electronic registers, or documented war-related data repositories is highly desirable
Strong technical and teamwork skills
Fluency in Ukrainian
Knowledge of English will be an asset
Nice to have
Experience in civic tech, GovTech, or digital preservation projects
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
