Job Description:

Acuver Consulting is seeking a high-energy IBM Sterling OMS Consultant with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for engineering and implementing highly scalable commerce platforms, including the core OMS, Call Center, and Store modules. You will work across the full project lifecycle—from requirement gathering and fit-gap analysis to production support—ensuring that solutions are not only functional but optimized for performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Engineering & Implementation: Design and develop project deliverables primarily for commerce applications, ensuring code is efficient and well-structured
  • Customization & Extension: Perform hands-on customization of IBM Sterling OMS APIs, User Exits, Agents, and Services
  • Modern Integration: Build and maintain web services and integration points using Java and Spring Boot to augment core Sterling functionality
  • Performance Tuning: Utilize a deep understanding of Sterling database tables and SQL to troubleshoot concurrency and performance bottlenecks
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Actively engage with client-side architects and business partners to demonstrate the technical capabilities of the OMS platform

Requirements:

  • IBM Sterling OMS: Strong hands-on experience with version 10.0+, including the Extensibility Framework (APIs, User Exits, Services, and Agents)
  • Backend Development: Advanced Java skills with a focus on Spring Boot and microservices patterns
  • Data & SQL: Solid understanding of Sterling DB schemas and excellence in writing optimized SQL queries
  • Frontend Basics: Experience with UI components (UIs, DOJO, or Angular) to support Store and Call Center extensions
  • Agile Mindset: Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments, delivering iterative value
  • Analytical Aptitude: A passion for troubleshooting complex system issues and learning new tools/technologies
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metrics

Nice to have:

  • Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with build scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and certified container deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
  • Modern Web Tech: Hands-on experience with Angular, React, or Node.js
  • Reporting: Knowledge of Jasper Reports for fulfillment documentation
  • Advanced Modules: Exposure to Inventory Visibility (IV), IBM Web Store, SBC, or SST
  • Modern Databases: Experience with NoSQL or distributed databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
