Job Description

Working 11 hours per week as the Consult Rehab Medicine, you will provide a specialised Rehabilitation Medicine service to Austin Health. Specifically: A consults service, reviewing acute patients; A disability service, assessing Austin patients living with long term disability and keeping them well in the community; Education of Rehab medicine Advanced Trainees; Covering consultant leave in the Amputee, Orthopaedic & General Rehabilitation inpatient unit.

Job Responsibility

Provide comprehensive management of rehabilitation consults and patients attending the Disability clinic
Participate in Unit meetings and activities, as needed
Provide an on-call service as required
Teaching advanced trainees.

Requirements

Appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Rehabilitation Medicine
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to research and/or clinical audit activities
Involvement in teaching and training of medical staff, including at undergraduate and post-graduate level.
