This role will be suitable for anyone with a multi-trade background in Plastering, Joinery, painting and decorating, and/or Bricklaying, or a general all-rounder with prior experience in teaching a multi-skills course. Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging, practical multi-skills construction sessions to small groups of learners
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to meet individual needs and learning objectives
Create and manage tailored learning plans that support learners’ progression and long-term aspirations
Provide pastoral support, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their programme
Use a variety of teaching and training methods to engage individuals with different learning styles
Ensure all learning delivery meets quality standards and compliance requirements
Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding and equality standards
Achieve quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
Conduct risk assessments of all activities, always prioritising your own, learners and others’ safety
Requirements:
Industry recognised qualification in Construction, Multi Skills
Post 16 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe)
English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above (or willingness to gain them)
Proven track record of professional or vocational expertise in the Construction sector
Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
