Job Description:

This role is a fantastic fit for someone who prefers the workshop to the traditional classroom. You'll be working with young people who often find mainstream education challenging, helping them build practical skills and confidence through hands-on projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach bricklaying, joinery, painting, and general construction skills
  • Tailor lessons for 1:1 sessions or small groups to meet specific student needs (SEND)
  • Handle lesson planning, progress reporting, and student assessments
  • Maintain strict Health & Safety standards in the workshop while advocating for the students' social and emotional growth

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 1 in a construction-related discipline
  • Experience working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults (ideally with additional needs)
  • Confidence using ICT, specifically Google Applications
  • Full UK driving licence, a roadworthy vehicle, and business insurance
  • Creativity, resilience, and a think-outside-the-box approach to engagement
