The Construction Supervisor is responsible for leading site operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of construction activities, and delivering projects in line with quality, schedule, and operational requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams and stakeholders in dynamic site environments.
Job Responsibility
Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse workforce to safely achieve project objectives
Take full ownership of assigned scopes of work and ensure accountability across the team
Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to optimize daily site operations
Plan and organize workloads, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project timelines
Maintain composure and effectiveness in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
Apply strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and installation methods across pipeline and facility projects
Oversee installation of pipelines including steel, flexsteel, polyethylene (poly), and fiberglass systems
Interpret and execute work based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, procedures, and risk mitigation practices, including emergency response readiness
Monitor and enforce quality control standards, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions where required
Ensure compliance with applicable local codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Clearly communicate plans, instructions, and expectations to site teams and subcontractors
Coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication records
Actively listen to team members’ feedback, concerns, and suggestions
Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges to minimize disruption
Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the project
Requirements
Proven experience in construction supervision, preferably within oil & gas or pipeline projects
Practical experience in both construction and production environments is advantageous
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
Solid understanding of pipeline installation methods and relevant construction practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
