Our Client requires an experienced Construction Supervisor for a major High Voltage project based near Greifswald.
Job Responsibility
Overall responsibility for the strategic management of all site activities for a complex substation project, as well as leading construction management teams to ensure project objectives are met
Defining and implementing the overarching site strategy in close coordination with project management, engineering, EHS, quality, planning, and procurement
Managing and further developing the site organization while ensuring efficient processes, clear responsibilities, and transparent communication structures
Overarching responsibility for safety, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies, and local regulations
Managing interfaces between construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning to ensure smooth project progress
Managing subcontractors at the management level, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and escalation management
Ensuring the consistent application of the Construction Management System (e.g., LPS) and monitoring key KPIs regarding safety, progress, quality, and budget
Serving as the primary point of contact for project management, clients, partners, and consortium members regarding all strategic site matters
Fostering a strong safety culture and continuously improving construction processes, standards, and the application of lessons learned
Requirements
Completed university degree or technical training in civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
Several years of experience in a leadership role regarding the construction of complex industrial or energy facilities—specifically in high-voltage substation construction
Experience leading site management teams and organizing complex construction site structures within EPC projects
Solid knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and proven experience implementing high safety standards on large-scale construction sites
Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring schedule, cost, and quality targets are met at the project level
Excellent understanding of the interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
Familiarity with international norms, standards, and best practices in the construction and energy facility sector
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
High willingness to travel and to undertake extended assignments at project sites in Germany (near Greifswald)
Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and project management systems
