Supervise site construction and installation activities related to assigned engineering disciplines, ensuring all work is performed safely, within scope, and according to approved standards and specifications
Participate in constructability reviews when required
Review contractors’ construction plans, schedules, method statements, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
Coordinate and oversee contractor mobilization, including site access and laydown areas
Facilitate issuance of permits and gate passes as needed
Inspect, check, and test completed work
coordinate recommissioning inspections and initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates
Track and ensure closure of all Punch List items
Review and endorse red-lined drawings and final “as-built” documentation
Participate in handover, acceptance processes, and commissioning activities
Review and approve Construction Dossiers for assigned projects
Ensure timely execution of construction and installation scopes in alignment with the approved scope, specifications, and standards
Review and endorse contractors’ progress reports and site activity updates
Requirements:
Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
Strong background in construction management, communication, and conflict resolution
Extensive experience in commissioning within the oil & gas sector
8–10 years of experience in construction and installation activities within the oil & gas industry
Proven experience in applying construction industry best practices, systems, processes, and standards
