We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) to oversee and manage E&I construction activities for offshore oil & gas projects. The role is responsible for ensuring all construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supervising contractors, coordinating site activities, and ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence across all phases of construction.
Job Responsibility
Oversee and manage day-to-day execution of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities on assigned projects
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved scope of work, engineering designs, drawings, and project specifications
Supervise EPIC contractors during execution of E&I, Fire & Gas (F&G), Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), and Telecom installations at offshore construction sites
Provide technical guidance and direction to contractors on E&I activities and, where required, Telemetry and Telecom works
Verify that all construction activities are executed in line with approved method statements, schedules, quality standards, and material requirements
Coordinate with contractors and specialist vendors to ensure proper integration and execution of systems
Review and approve construction method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and construction schedules
Perform and witness inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and specifications
Inspect materials upon receipt, identify discrepancies, and raise reports for damaged or missing items
Certify completed works and sign off on inspection records and quality documentation
Monitor contractor workforce productivity and daily site activities
Maintain daily progress records and prepare reports highlighting work status, issues, and deviations
Identify potential risks, bottlenecks, or delays and recommend corrective actions
Review contractor construction plans, procedures, and offshore logistics arrangements
Support brownfield modifications including review of long-term isolation plans
Ensure effective coordination between multiple disciplines and stakeholders
Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, environmental standards, and company policies
Participate in work permit processes and authorize permits in accordance with company procedures
Enforce safe working practices and ensure contractor adherence to permit conditions
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline) from a recognized university
Diploma / ONC in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering with relevant certifications in Safety, Quality, and Construction
Minimum 10 years of experience in supervising E&I construction activities within the oil & gas industry
Proven experience in offshore projects, including wellhead platforms, topside facilities, and jacket structures
Hands-on experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Telemetry, and Telecom systems
Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control practices
Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, method statements, and test plans
Experience with construction activities including cable pulling, termination, loop checking, megger testing, and instrument installation
