Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Civil & Structural) to oversee and manage construction activities for assigned projects within the oil and gas industry. The role involves ensuring compliance with approved designs, QHSE standards, and project specifications while maintaining safety leadership and effective coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise construction works executed by contractors to ensure compliance with approved Scope of Work, engineering design, and QHSE standards
  • Review and provide feedback on construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures from project initiation to handover
  • Act as the performing authority for Permit to Work issued to contractors
  • Provide technical expertise during civil construction activities, detailed design, and execution stages to ensure adherence to international standards and regulations
  • Oversee site construction and installation activities for assigned Construction/EPIC contracts, ensuring safe execution and compliance with engineering specifications
  • Serve as a safety leader for all site construction activities
  • Review contractors’ construction plans, schedules, method statements, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Coordinate contractor mobilization, including site laydown areas and logistics
  • Facilitate issuance of permits and gate passes for contractors
  • Inspect and test completed works, arrange pre-commissioning inspections, and initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates
  • Ensure timely clearance of Punch List items and review “as-built” drawings
  • Participate in handover, acceptance, and commissioning activities, including review of commissioning procedures
  • Endorse Construction Dossiers for assigned projects
  • Support workforce development by providing training and development opportunities for Qatari Nationals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline with extensive construction experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and installation activities within oil and gas projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry best practices, systems, and standards
  • Excellent skills in construction management, communication, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to lead safety initiatives and enforce compliance with QHSE standards

Nice to have:

Additional HSE certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are highly desirable
