Job Description

We’re seeking a personable and reliable construction special inspector on a full or part-time basis in our Honolulu office.

Job Responsibility

  • Independent inspection of building structures during construction to ascertain whether construction methods, practices, materials and workmanship conform to provisions of contracts, plans, specifications, regulations and standard methods of work
  • Keep detailed records of work completed and materials used
  • Prepare and submit routine inspection reports as directed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Inspect one or more of the following with ICC & ACI Certifications: Concrete, Reinforcing Steel & Prestressing Steel Tendons, Structural Welding, High-Strength Bolting, Structural Masonry, Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Piling, Drilled Piers and Caissons, Shotcrete, Sheathed Shear Wall & Diaphragms, Complete Load Path & Uplift Ties

Requirements

  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Be able to properly move and lift up to 50lbs 10-20 times per day
  • Be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • Be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders multiple times per day
  • Must tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions
  • Background in construction and plan reading
  • ICC and/or ACI certifications are required certifications for this position
  • Must be able to obtain a DBIDS/military base access pass (background check required)
