Job Description

Sacco Mann is seeking a talented Construction Solicitor to join a reputable legal team in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid working models whilst providing a supportive environment for professional growth. You will advise a diverse range of clients within the construction sector, including contractors, specialist subcontractors, engineers, architects, local authorities, and developers. The sectors covered are broad, spanning infrastructure, housing, student accommodation, office developments, waste, and energy projects. Your work will involve engaging with all major forms of contract such as NEC, JCT, IChemE, and FIDIC, ensuring legal robustness across various transaction types. The work covers a broad range of sectors, including: waste to energy, offshore, port and harbour work, housebuilding, and utilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing cases at all stages of the litigation process
  • Assisting clients in resolving disputes via settlement, mediation, adjudication, or court/arbitration proceedings
  • Participating in the delivery of seminars and training sessions alongside the partner to professional bodies such as CECA, CIOB, and CIHT

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction law
  • Strong understanding of construction law, particularly contentious construction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to engage in business development activities
