Job Responsibility:
Deliver high-quality legal advice on construction matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulations
Draft and review construction contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Provide legal support for contentious and non-contentious construction cases
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions
Support senior team members with complex legal cases and negotiations
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in construction law and regulations
Contribute to the development of the legal department's expertise and resources.
Requirements:
Qualified as a solicitor in Scotland or England & Wales, with at least 4 PQE
Provide legal advice on the full spectrum of non-contentious construction matters, encompassing procurement strategy, tender processes, and the preparation and negotiation of construction documentation
Strong familiarity with widely used standard-form construction contracts, alongside practical experience of collaborative contract models commonly adopted in UK public sector projects, as well as internationally recognised contract frameworks used on cross-border developments
A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
