Job Description:

Empower Every Learner, Unlock Potential, Shape Futures - Join us as Skills Practitioner. As a Skills Practitioner in Construction you will provide learning and technical support to staff and students within the Division and to undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies. This role is based at our Eastchurch EKC Training Centre where we deliver a variety of construction and employability courses to Category D Prisoners and community learners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide learning and technical support to staff and students within the Division
  • Undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies
  • Liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders
  • Provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement
  • Stock control, to include ordering and issuing of supplies
  • Facilitate learners on tasks
  • Provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision

Requirements:

  • Recent industrial experience in a relevant area
  • Experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace
  • Ability to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and efficient
  • Key responsibility for instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments
