Piper Maddox has partnered with a lean renewable energy developer with over 30 years of experience in the German market. The business delivers ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic projects, with multiple utility-scale BESS developments also in the pipeline. Due to a growing project portfolio, they are now looking to appoint a Construction Manager to oversee on-site delivery of large-scale PV projects across Southern Germany. This role is heavily site-focused and offers real ownership across construction execution, subcontractor management, and project handover.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and oversee PV plant construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Monitor and enforce health & safety standards and construction site regulations
Prepare construction site documentation and regular progress reports
Organise and lead site meetings with subcontractors and clients
Manage service providers and handle communication around defects, delays, and corrective actions
Conduct acceptance testing and handovers with contractors and customers
Requirements:
Technical vocational training with technician qualification, or a degree in engineering, civil engineering, plant engineering, or similar
Ideally initial experience in construction management (renewable energy or infrastructure preferred)
Knowledge of relevant construction regulations, standards, and safety requirements
Strong communication and negotiation skills with subcontractors, clients, and grid operators
Independent, organised, and confident taking responsibility on site
Class B driving licence
Fluent German and good English skills
Willingness to travel nationally (projects mainly across Bavaria & Baden-Württemberg)
Previous PV project experience is highly desirable
