Job Description

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Construction Services Project Manager in Irvine or Fontana, California (Irvine preferred). The successful candidate will manage geotechnical earthwork, deputy inspection, and material testing projects, including coordination with clients and design professionals, working with Ninyo & Moore field inspection and materials testing staff, managing project budgets, and preparing cost estimates for our services. The Project Manager will also evaluate the work being performed, review all project-related paperwork such as daily inspection reports and laboratory test results, respond to RFIs, and assist in troubleshooting project-related construction issues.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage geotechnical earthwork, deputy inspection, and material testing projects, including coordination with clients and design professionals
  • Working with Ninyo & Moore field inspection and materials testing staff
  • Managing project budgets
  • Preparing cost estimates for our services
  • Evaluate the work being performed
  • Review all project-related paperwork such as daily inspection reports and laboratory test results
  • Respond to RFIs
  • Assist in troubleshooting project-related construction issues

Requirements

  • Engineering Geology, or Materials Engineering is recommended
  • experience with geotechnical engineering, design or construction, is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience working for an organization providing special inspection and/or materials testing services showing increasing levels of responsibility and interaction with clients
  • At least 2+ years of project management experience desired
  • Candidate should be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in proposal preparation including materials quantity take-offs

Nice to have

experience with geotechnical engineering, design or construction, is a plus
