Job Description:

K-Line Construction Ltd. requires a Senior Estimator Construction for the Building Division of our group of companies, based out of our Fredericton, NB office. Our Building Division completes a wide variety of projects consisting of, but not limited to, new and renovation of commercial buildings, arenas, schools, offices, hospitality, and retail. K-Line is seeking an individual that has a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the ever-changing construction market. This individual must be motivated and possess great leadership skills. They must be detail oriented, with a desire to produce quality work. This position is career oriented.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review drawings, specifications, and code requirements
  • Develop multi-disciplinary quantity takeoffs for all construction divisions
  • Creating schedules based on project data
  • Conducting scope reviews and creating subcontractor tender packages
  • Soliciting subcontractor and supplier information and pricing
  • Review assembled bids and provide risk analysis, proposed job margin, and cost and schedule impacts on the submission
  • Source bid opportunities through trade association
  • Pursue project leads and market opportunities and assist in networking with owners and consultants
  • Track bidding success and percentages and analyze fiscal period bid performance

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the general contracting industry
  • Eligible for or having attained PQS, CET or P. Eng designation is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel and industry estimating software
