Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support our client in Havelock, NC. The Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) will lead and administer project quality programs on federal construction sites, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, UFGS specifications, and USACE/NAVFAC quality standards while coordinating closely with project leadership and subcontractors.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Control (QC) Plan in accordance with contract requirements
Execute and document the Three Phases of Quality Control for all Definable Features of Work (DFOW)
Conduct daily quality inspections and coordinate required testing activities
Coordinate quality activities with Superintendents, Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHOs), and subcontractors
Review, track, and manage submittals, RFIs, and quality documentation using government reporting systems
Identify, document, and resolve deficiencies through corrective actions and follow-up inspections
Maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and complete quality records for government review
Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years of commercial or industrial construction experience
At least two (2) years serving as a QCM on USACE or NAVFAC construction projects
Active USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certification at time of hire
Demonstrated experience implementing Three-Phase Quality Control programs
Strong working knowledge of UFGS specifications and federal construction requirements
Proficiency with USACE RMS, NAVFAC QCS, or similar quality reporting platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and Bluebeam Revu
Ability to type 60+ WPM with strong documentation and communication skills
