Job Description

4Creeks is seeking a Construction Project Manager to work under the direction of a Department Manager on our Build team.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage the work of subcontractors, site superintendents, and support staff
  • Provide daily oversight and make project-related decisions to ensure progress and quality
  • Manage project budgets, including subcontractor negotiations, change order management, and financial forecasting
  • Prepare bid proposals, scopes, and fees
  • collaborate with the controller on monthly invoicing and billing
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance reviews on all active projects
  • Lead owner communication for construction-related activities and updates
  • Work closely with the architecture, engineering, and structural teams to provide constructability feedback and ensure alignment between design and field execution
  • Meet regularly with the scheduler for weekly schedule updates and progress tracking
  • Attend project and client meetings as required
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, owners, jurisdictions, and subcontractors to maintain smooth project delivery
  • Train, mentor, and monitor the progress of project staff and superintendents
  • Manage daily operations and workload distribution for assigned team members
  • Recruit and recommend new staff hires to support project needs
  • Foster a safe, collaborative, and growth-oriented work environment
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of various construction types, including commercial, industrial, and heavy civil
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings
  • Work daily out of the Visalia office with regular travel to job sites (up to 4 hours away)
  • Ensure overall job site safety in coordination with superintendents
  • Prepare and submit monthly construction and progress reports
  • Perform physical tasks as needed, including walking between work sites and lifting up to 50 lbs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction/Project Management
  • Proven experience managing construction or development projects with budgets exceeding $1 million
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar tools)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to construction projects
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
