The primary purpose of Project Manager – Logistics is to plan, manage and implement the construction projects of the Logistics product within the organization globally through standardized project management processes, policies and methods. This role requires a strong leader with more than 10 years experience in the construction industry with excellent project management skills, strong technical knowhow and a keen eye for detail.
Job Responsibility:
Initiate, plan, and manage several construction projects across the network, throughout the entire project lifecycle, using Project Management tools, industry standards and methodologies
The scope of the projects will be the construction of new warehouses and running large CAPEX projects with sensitive timelines
Manage and document project framework requirements (Project charter, feasibility plan, tendering process, construction execution, etc.)
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project requirements, milestones, and success criteria
Manage project dependencies, risks and issues
Track project progress and budget spending
Track deliverables and benefit realization
Facilitate change control process
Provide reporting to senior management and stakeholders
Create working relationships with project stakeholders (station managers, logistics managers, operations managers, FM and HSE team, PMO, Finance etc…)
Manage the entire project portfolio and ensure information, scheduling, and logs are updated at all times
Ensure business benefits are continuously monitored, reported on, and escalated it as needed
Conduct steering committee meetings for all critical and high impact projects
Continuous improvement of PM practices
Requirements:
Holds a degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry
Proven experience (10 years) in project management, preferably in the logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Has to be PMP certified
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel on site from time to time to meet project stakeholders, contractors and government agencies
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite
