High School Diploma or GED, some college or BA/BS
Must be able to read construction plans and specifications
At least 2-5 years of industry experience or work-related experience in a similar role
Comfortable going out to job sites, unaccompanied
Reliable transportation
Ability to travel via automobile, train or airplane
Read tape measure, basic math, including fractions
Computer literacy- Excel (intermediate user experience), Word, email, and Internet required

Job Responsibility

Manage commercial and multi-family residential door, frame, and hardware projects
Manage budgets for projects to achieve profitability
Responsible for managing the project schedule
Managing performance review process and hiring and training of staff
Execute, monitor, and meet KPI’s
Managing monthly billing targets
Communicate project schedule and ongoing status with the executive leadership group, installation subcontractors, and the accounting department
Schedule and manage pre-construction meetings with the associated installation company
Maintain full grasp on product lead times
Strong understanding of door projects for both the manufacturing and construction industries

Requirements

2+ years of project management or project engineering experience in a specialty subcontractor or construction environment
Familiarity with Division 8 products (doors, frames, hardware) highly preferred
Experience with submittal packages, RFI management, and change order administration
Proficiency in project management software
experience with Bistrack a plus
Strong communication skills and must be comfortable working with GCs, architects, and field crews
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously

Job Responsibility

Manage assigned projects from contract award through final closeout
Lead the submittal and detailing process by compiling door/hardware schedules, cut sheets, shop drawings, and coordinating architect approval
Coordinate with the Procurement Engineer to sequence and time material orders in alignment with the project build schedule
Serve as primary point of contact with the GC/owner team by responding to RFIs, ASIs, pricing requests, change orders, and back charges
Coordinate directly with the Field Lead and Shop/Warehouse Manager on installation scheduling, fabrication status, and delivery timing
Conduct or coordinate field verification visits to confirm site conditions prior to fabrication or delivery
Review and approve monthly pay applications with the Project Accountant
Participate in monthly job cost reviews comparing actuals to budget
Compile closeout documentation such as warranties, as-builts, and O&M manuals
Assist with estimating as capacity allows
