Join our dynamic team as a Construction Project Engineer and play a pivotal role in the oil and gas industry! This is an exciting opportunity to provide site-based engineering support for a Project with our client in the oil and gas industry in a stunning remote province of Papua New Guinea, ensuring technical compliance and quality assurance in construction activities.
Job Responsibility:
Provide site-based engineering support for the Project Facilities construction activities
Verify that Contractor’s construction work packs (CWPs) are technically complete prior to work execution and support the Permit to Work (PTW) process
Interface with Company Facilities’ Engineering to address Contractor technical issues and queries
Ensure that Contractor’s materials receipted at site conform to project specifications for quality and quantity
Coordinate with Company Logistics Advisor for Free-Issue-Material (FIM) care and custody transfer to Contractor
Validate the accuracy and completeness of as-built documentation included within Mechanical Dossier Reports (MDRs)
Consolidate surveillance and inspection of Contractor’s work in accordance with approved quality documentation requirements at all 'hold' and 'witness' points
Coordinate with Site Quality team for review and approval of MDRs / Mechanical Completion dossiers
Ensure timely follow-up activities with the Site Completion team
Comply with the company's Management System (SMS), Delegation of Authority (DOA), Corporate Governance, and Safety requirements
Requirements:
Construction Site Management: Proven experience in managing construction sites effectively
PMP: Knowledge of Project Management Professional principles
Brownfield Management: Experience in brownfield projects within the oil & gas sector
Civil Engineering: Strong foundation in civil engineering principles
Construction Schedules: Ability to develop and manage construction schedules
Construction Coordination: Expertise in coordinating various construction activities
Construction Scope Management: Skilled in defining and managing project scope
Construction Safety: Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations on construction sites
Construction Controls & Management: Experience in implementing construction controls
Project Administration: Proficient in project administration tasks
Bachelor of Engineering: Essential qualification required for this position
Registration: Will be required to register with IEPNG
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in site-based engineering roles within the upstream oil and gas industry
