Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England is seeking to fill the Project Coordinator position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team! Veterans Inc. is looking for an organized, driven, and detail-focused Project Coordinator with hands-on experience in construction, renovation, or facility upgrade initiatives. This role is essential in guiding the planning, implementation, and completion of building and infrastructure projects across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all stages of capital improvement and construction projects, including defining scope, creating budgets, selecting contractors, and coordinating execution
Contribute to the creation of project schedules, work plans, budgets, and progress reports
Lead and participate in project launch meetings and ongoing status updates with staff, consultants, and contractors
Keep accurate and complete project documentation such as contracts, design drawings, change orders, RFIs, and status reports
Coordinate inspections, walkthroughs, and meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and funders
Support vendor and procurement activities, including drafting RFPs, reviewing proposals, and evaluating bids
Track deadlines, deliverables, and project milestones using spreadsheets and project management software
Ensure adherence to safety standards, permitting requirements, and organizational policies
Monitor project budgets, spending, and invoices, raising concerns about cost overruns or delays when needed
Assist with grant compliance by preparing required project documentation and reports for local, state, and federal agencies
Maintain a centralized filing system for both active and closed projects
Research technical information and provide data to aid decision-making
Contribute to other facility and infrastructure projects or special assignments as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate's degree in Business Administration or other related field
2+ years of hands-on experience coordinating construction, renovation, or facilities improvement projects
Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25/50/80 pounds occasionally
Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in New England as needed
Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check
