Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Painter to join our client’s team in British Columbia. As part of our network, this role offers an opportunity to work across various construction sites, providing essential painting and finishing services. The ideal candidate should be proficient in painting techniques, have knowledge of different paint types, and demonstrate adherence to safety standards. Bilingual proficiency in English is required, and French is an asset.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keep detailed records of materials used, work progress, and surface areas covered during the job
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for both taste and appearance
  • Select appropriate paint types, colors, and finishes based on the project’s requirements and environmental considerations
  • Apply paints, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve a uniform and aesthetically pleasing finish
  • Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes, and taping edges for optimal paint adhesion

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or residential painting, preferably in construction settings
  • Strong understanding of various paint types, finishes, and application methods
  • Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and with physical demands for extended periods
  • Ability to apply paint accurately, match colors, and ensure a smooth finish
  • Bilingual proficiency in English is required

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with eco-friendly and low-VOC paints
  • Experience with decorative finishes, textured coatings, or specialty painting techniques
  • Bilingual proficiency in French
