BrainWorks is currently retained on a search for a Construction Operations Manager (Installation) role supporting the Southeast region with a rapidly scaling engineering, construction and maintenance firm focused on specialty transportation infrastructure. The business has grown significantly since its 2020 launch (now ~$190M with strong margins and ~550 employees) and is widely regarded as one of the leading platforms in its space. The role has responsibility for up to 50+ people, reports directly to the Regional President, and leads the construction/installation business across the Southeast region (Atlanta-based). You will have full ownership across operations, safety & quality, project execution, materials & equipment utilization, team leadership and financial performance. This is a highly visible role with meaningful impact as the company continues to scale both organically and through M&A. Seeking broad-based individual – step above Sr Manager or Director of Operations or exceptionally versed Sr Project Manager. Someone who can run a business, not just projects and simultaneously be respected by PMs and Supers. Financial + Operational Discipline and Core Leadership capabilities are key! Strong knowledge of self-performing construction/installation industry including estimating, contracts, materials, equipment, project scheduling, WIP accounting and profitability analyses + acumen required. Background in highway construction, civil and/or electrical construction desirable. Knowledge of the ITS and/or Traffic Signal construction/installation industries a plus. Ability to run a construction team of 40-50 resources to include project managers, superintendents, and field crews. Responsibility of $20M+ operation. LOCATION: This position is in office with 30% in the field
