The Mechanical Supervisor – Piping (PIS) is responsible for the coordination of pipeline construction activities on site, ensuring that works are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements. The role involves direct supervision of subcontractors and workforce engaged in pipeline installation, welding, testing and reinstatement works.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate pipeline construction activities
Direct the management of Mechanical Subcontractor(s) for piping and pipeline
Guarantee the quality of the works and their compliance with the contractual/engineering requirements of the project satisfying the assigned budget, time schedule quality, safety and environmental
Ensure that their performances are carefully monitored in terms of schedule, quality and cost, and PIS will coordinate all necessary recovery actions whenever detect deviation from schedule or specifications under the guidance of Mechanical Piping Superintendent
Participate to the elaboration of work schedule and to the collection of the progress of the works and analyze any deviations
Ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities
Directly participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for PIS position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures
Requirements:
University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in piping and pipeline construction within EPC projects, preferably in oil & gas or large industrial projects
Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor, Pipeline Supervisor, or similar role on onshore pipeline projects
Experience working with international EPC contractors and multicultural site teams is an advantage
Good knowledge of pipeline construction standards, procedures and safety practices
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, management skills
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
Nice to have:
Experience working with international EPC contractors and multicultural site teams is an advantage
