Job Description

The Construction Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of Mechanical Construction for Rotating Equipment activities through the Construction Rotating Equipment Supervisors (PIS)

Job Responsibility

  • Management of Mechanical Subcontractor(s) for Rotating Equipment
  • Ensure their performances are carefully monitored in terms of schedule, quality and cost
  • Coordinate all necessary recovery actions whenever detect deviation from schedule or specifications under the guidance of Construction manager
  • Ensure the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities
  • Directly participate to the HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures

Requirements

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details
  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution

  • Promote a culture of quality within the project teams, ensuring that quality awareness is maintained throughout all stages of construction
  • Oversee quality control activities related to construction processes, including fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning of FPSO units
  • Monitor and manage inspections, material certifications, welding, NDT, dimensional control, Ex, coating, and testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards

  • Prepare and deliver regular quality performance reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key quality issues, corrective actions, and improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, procurement, safety) to ensure that quality standards are incorporated into all phases of the project
