Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a client of ours who is a leader in manufacturing continuous mining and bulk material handling solutions. The Construction Manager has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the complete project construction and must be competent in managing the seven aspects of a project, including scope, schedule, finance, contract, risk & opportunity, quality, and resources in accordance with the Contract, Client Requirements, and company processes and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Management of Health and Safety on Site
  • Develop Project Construction Execution Planning and produce a project Schedule in conjunction with the Project Planner
  • Implement the WBS & Baseline to represent to As-Sold scope
  • Understand the Project Budget and baseline in accordance with the As-Sold Sales Cost Sheet
  • Budget Management and Administration
  • Contract Management
  • Change Management
  • Manage Client Relationships
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Evaluate project performance, progress and implement corrective actions
  • Managing of Project Construction Risks
  • Coordination of Project Team
  • Coordination and Management of Sub-Contractors
  • Manage all project construction resources
  • Project Risk Management
  • Project Communication Management
  • Documentation
  • Meetings (Internal/External)
  • Commercial Communication

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years project management Experience
  • Background in Mining and Materials handling is advantageous and within the EPC environment for international project execution
  • Experience and expertise in planning and managing complex industrial construction projects
  • Industry knowledge of customer expectations by geography, environmental regulations, safety standards, and market trends
  • Delivery time management
  • Project management ability to plan, execute, monitor, and close industrial projects
  • Contract Management including Client Contract and Sub-Contract Management
  • Leadership and communication
  • Decision making and problem solving
  • Negotiation skills
  • Technical skills with project management software, supply chain management software, quality management software, or ERP landscapes
