The Construction Manager Representative (CMR) will support a diverse portfolio of federal projects across the United States, including the construction and rehabilitation of national parks, renovation of historic structures, and upgrades to critical infrastructure such as wastewater treatment facilities. Acting as the owner's representative, the CMR will oversee field activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong experience in construction oversight, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and a thorough understanding of federal project standards. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and capable of working across a variety of project types and geographic locations, ensuring quality execution from project initiation through completion.
Job Responsibility:
Represent owner/client interests on construction projects
Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures
Conduct site inspections and document progress
Identify and resolve field issues in a timely manner
Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental requirements
Prepare reports, logs, and project documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in construction management, inspection, or field engineering
Experience working as an owner’s representative or in a similar CMR role preferred
Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and project controls
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Willingness and ability to travel or relocate based on project needs
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
Nice to have:
Infrastructure, transportation, utility, or energy sector projects
Familiarity with federal, state, or municipal construction standards
Certifications such as PMP, CCM, OSHA, or similar are a plus
