Service Stream are on the hunt for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team from our Rockdale office! We are looking for an experienced ITS Construction Manager to join our team and manage the design and construction of intelligent transport systems projects across Australia. As the ITS Construction Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage the entire construction lifecycle, from the initial planning and scoping stages through to delivery and handover. Working from our Rockdale office, this permanent full-time role will be required to work night shift (Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5am) once project work begins late 2026.
Job Responsibility
Plan, manage, and deliver ITS Construction to meet client requirements and contractual obligations, ensuring construction is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Develop and maintain construction schedules, budgets, and risk registers, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated throughout the construction lifecycle
Manage construction stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring they are engaged, informed, and effectively managed
Develop and manage construction documentation, including construction plans, reports, and change management documentation
Ensure all construction deliverables are produced to the required quality standards, including design documentation, construction specifications, and testing and commissioning documentation
Manage construction resources, including construction staff, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring they are effectively managed, motivated, and supported
Ensure all construction activities are carried out in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
Monitor and report on construction progress, risks, and issues, ensuring they are identified, tracked, and managed effectively
Maintain effective communication with construction team members, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of construction progress and issues
Requirements
Strong construction management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource management
Demonstrated ability to manage complex ITS Construction from inception to completion
Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage construction team members
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards relating to ITS design and construction in Australia
Familiarity with project management software tools and systems
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, electrical trade certificate or a related field
