Construction Manager

• Monitors approved project budgets and oversees project controls (PERs, PSRs, change orders, pay apps), identifying risks and recommending adjustments to maintain financial discipline
• Facilitates delivery of campus and metro‑based construction projects through timely, data‑driven decision‑making in partnership with local teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment to Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities
• Partners with CO+I and key Microsoft stakeholders to drive adoption of updated processes, improving cost savings, cycle time, and operational efficiency across programs
• Reviews engineering documentation, designs, and site plans
• identifies gaps and risks
• and provides recommendations that improve constructability while adhering to security core priorities and standards
• Represents Microsoft as a safety advocate by establishing risk mitigation metrics, supporting national safety goals, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA), conducting audits, and contributing to incident investigations
• Oversees procurement and resourcing activities, evaluates staffing and material needs, and monitors vendor performance for compliance, financial accuracy, and contractual obligations
• Assists in tracking and reporting project progress across scope, schedule, standards, and budget, synthesizing complex data into clear updates for delivery and executive audiences

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience
• OR equivalent experience
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
• Required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

• 12+ years experience working on data center projects
