Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project! Clough, as part of a Joint Venture with Saipem, is delivering the ‘Project CERES’ urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities. We are currently searching for a Construction Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our site-based team on Project Ceres. Reporting to the Construction Director, this position will lead and oversee all E&I construction activities on site. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of E&I execution, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery in alignment to our project objectives and client expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the planning, execution and completion of construction projects with a focus on E&I
Manage E&I subcontractors, workforce planning, and daily progress reporting
Ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and standards
Interface with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to support seamless project delivery
Monitor construction progress, resolve technical and logistical challenges, and drive schedule performance
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements
Support quality inspections, testing, and handover documentation
Requirements:
Ability to work a 19:9 rotation to site in Karratha required
Minimum 10 years’ experience in large-scale industrial construction projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertiliser sectors
Proven experience managing E&I construction teams on major EPC or EPCM projects
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
In-depth knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and best practices for E&I works
Commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery excellence
Relevant certifications (e.g bachelor’s degree or equivalent, PMP and A Grade Electrical Licence) are required
Nice to have:
Hazardous Area Training Certificate (EEHA) Inspection highly regarded
Ability to hold Electrical Contractors/Nominee Licence highly regarded
