Midsized law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Litigation Attorney to join their team in Oakland, California. Job Responsibility

  • Manage construction litigation cases, including handling complex disputes and ensuring thorough case preparation
  • Draft and review motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and arguments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective litigation plans and provide strategic counsel
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including first and second-chair responsibilities
  • Oversee discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories
  • Analyze construction law issues and provide tailored legal advice to clients
  • Stay current on legal developments in construction law to ensure informed decision-making
  • Mentor less experienced attorneys and foster a collaborative environment within the team

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in construction litigation
  • Strong academic background, with credentials from a top-tier law school or high class ranking
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex litigation matters
  • Proficiency in drafting legal motions, briefs, and conducting detailed legal research
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California
  • A keen interest or prior experience in construction-related legal disputes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
