Robert Half is looking for a motivated Construction Litigation Attorney to join an international law firm in Chicago, Illinois. This role requires an experienced legal detail oriented individual who can manage complex cases, provide exceptional client service, and contribute to the firm's success. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all aspects of construction litigation cases, including drafting motions, overseeing discovery, and representing clients during court proceedings
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare detailed analyses to support litigation strategies
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring accurate and effective representation of client interests
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the firm's existing client base to ensure continued trust and satisfaction
  • Prepare persuasive legal briefs and present arguments effectively during court hearings
  • Travel as needed to represent clients or handle case-related matters
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to provide informed legal counsel
  • Mentor entry-level staff and assist in their detail oriented development as needed
  • Work with a team to achieve favorable outcomes in construction and insurance defense cases

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois with active Illinois Bar admission
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction litigation or a related legal field
  • Demonstrated expertise in case management, including drafting motions and managing discovery
  • Strong academic background with exceptional writing and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research and presenting findings effectively
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Willingness to travel as required for case-related activities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to handle multiple cases efficiently
