Job Description:

HSE Engineer reports to the HSM or, while he/she is the TCM HSE representative at site, he/she reports to the Site Manager. He/she verifies and ensures that all field activities are performed according to the TCM HSE policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.

Job Responsibility:

Perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate to the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Verify the adequacy and application of the Site HSE plan and all related procedures
Update the HSE documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary
Check that subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards
Organize, plan and participate to periodical HSE walk around, inspections and audits on site
Organize, coordinate and directly participate in the HSE Training activities on site
Organize and participate to all relevant site HSE meetings
Cooperate with the client concerning the issue of any necessary work permits
Organize in case of work accidents a full investigation of the event
Keep accident records
Perform and or promote the indoctrination / training of personnel
Lead and coordinate the activities off the Site HSE Committee
Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team
Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report
Prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics

Requirements:

University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years work experience
Significant experience in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects / Refinery
NEBOSH GC/IGC, Diploma in Safety or any other HSE Certification (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, management skills
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution

Nice to have:

Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage
ADNOC approved will be an advantage
