Job Description

The HSE System Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper and complete operation of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System within the organization. This role involves collaborating in the development and improvement of the corporate HSE Management System, maintaining compliance with relevant standards, and supporting various HSE initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the corporate HSE System requirements
  • Verify the completeness and correctness of the content of HSE Plans
  • Process and send project-level and aggregate performance and operations indicators
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, international safety standards, and client-specific requirements
  • Assist in the investigation of safety incidents
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in relevant international standards
  • Participate as a Lead Auditor and/or Auditor in system inspection activities
  • Collaborate with the Prevention and Protection Department to carry out activities that enhance the HSE system.

Requirements

  • University Degree/Diploma in Engineering
  • NEBOSH and IOSH certificates are mandatory. Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants exclusively with Saudi Based Clients
  • Covered a similar role in at least 4-5 projects of comparable size
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

  • HSE Plans: Verify the completeness and correctness of the content of HSE Plans prepared for specific projects and propose any necessary changes, corrections, or additions
  • Performance Monitoring: Process and send project-level and aggregate performance and operations indicators from the HSE system to the HSE Head of Department and the HSE Data Analyst
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, SA8000), and client-specific requirements through periodic audits
  • Incident Investigation: Assist in the investigation of safety incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in relevant international standards and ensure the updating of corporate HSE and individual project files
  • Audits and Inspections: Participate as a Lead Auditor and/or Auditor in system inspection activities and conduct site visits to assess project compliance with HSE policies

  • Ensure that the “Permit to Work (PTW) Procedure” is followed, permits are distributed, opened and closed according to procedural requirements, ensuring that permits are correctly completed by the Issuing Authority and the Performing Authority, and finally archived
  • The WPC will be holder of the PTW Register. All Permits shall be registered daily before allowed their validity
  • When a PTW is closed or suspended the WPC must update the PTW Register accordingly
